OUR RESTORATION SERVICE DETAILS

So what is the right way to properly restore and refinish headlights to crystal clear perfection? Below, we've broken down our extensive headlight restoration process into four basic steps that are essential in refinishing your headlights to a brand new look, and to ensure the cloudiness and yellowing doesn't come back . . . at least for a very long time.

PREP, CLEAN, & TAPE- Our headlight refinishing process starts with taping and masking the areas around your headlights to protect your vehicle's paint & trim. This is an essential step in preventing damage to your vehicle's paint during the headlight restoration process. This first step also includes cleaning & prepping your headlights to ensure the utmost quality during our next step. During this process, we may tape the edges to ensure the surrounding paint is protected.

WET SAND- This step is one of the key ingredients to the success of good headlight restoration. Be wary of sources and products that claim to restore your headlights without this step, as sanding away the dead oxidized layer and failing factory coating is a must before polishing/buffing or sealing polycarbonate headlights to achieve maximum clarity and long-lasting results.

POLISH & BUFF- After we've wet-sanded your headlights to remove the oxidized layer and minor scratches, we polish your lights through a series of polishing steps to remove the previous sanding marks created during the wet sanding phase and to restore your headlights to a brand new finish. The majority of car dealerships, car washes, and detailers that offer headlight restoration end their process here. Although your headlights will look much better after this step, with Mobile Headlight Pros, it doesn't end here. Our next step is what truly sets us apart from the rest.

â€‹UV CLEAR COAT- When your headlights have been sanded & polished properly they should look pretty brand new and almost certainly 10X better than they did before. This is where the majority of the few who get to this stage end the headlight restoration process. This is also why their headlight restoration services do not work beyond 3 months to a year because they have not properly sealed your headlights to prevent the issue from happening again.
